Training: MBTI® Qualifying Training

The MBTI is the most widely used personality inventory in history and is used on all continents of the world. It has been extensively researched both internationally and in South Africa. As an instrument ideally suited to understanding human behaviour, the MBTI helps to improve work and personal relationships, increase productivity, clarify conflict, identify and develop leadership and enhance interpersonal communication.


Training Event: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) Qualifying Training
Length of Training: 3 and ˝ days
Training: International accreditation
Learning techniques: Didactic and experiential
Trainers: Christina van der Merwe, Kathy Pott, Gareth Hallet, Fatima Bhabha, Nicola Taylor
Exam: 80 Multiple choice questions, written on the 4th day of training, pass mark is 80%
Assessment: online before the training, and paper and pencil during the training
Level of qualification: Psychologists or psychometrists registered with the HPCSA.

Successful completion of this training allows the delegate access to the following assessments:

  • MBTI® Step I forms (Form M and G)
  • The Murphy Murphy-Meisgeier Type Indicator for Children™ (MMTIC™)

All JvR Trainings contain a discussion to assist the practitioner in operationalising the use of the assessment. This segment would include issues like:

  • Ethical dilemmas
  • JvR’s 24 hour bureau service
  • On-line versus paper and pencil administration
  • Faxing/scanning of datasheets
  • Pricelists and sales orders
  • Opening of new accounts and 30 days credit
